Structure: Precision machined from 20CrMnTi alloy steel, featuring external dog teeth (16 teeth) for engagement with the gear and internal splines (16 teeth) for sliding on the synchronizer hub. The inner bore has a tapered friction surface that presses against the synchronizer ring during shifting. The entire component undergoes carburizing, quenching, and precision grinding, achieving surface hardness HRC 58–62(anti-wear) and core hardness HRC 33–45 (anti-impact fracture).

Performance: The hardened dog teeth withstand repeated engagement impacts without deformation, ensuring over 50,000 shift cycles. The precision-ground tapered surface ensures uniform pressure on the synchronizer ring, enabling rapid speed synchronization (≤0.35s per shift) under medium loads. The internal splines maintain a smooth sliding fit with the hub, preventing gear slippage during power transmission.

Synchronizer locking: Slides along the synchronizer hub to engage with the 4th or 5th gear’s dog teeth, locking the gear to the main shaft for torque transmission.
